Rocky Reach Discovery Center
The Rocky Reach Discovery Center provides a family-friendly environment for learning about the intersection of technology, nature, and history in the Pacific Northwest.
Located at Rocky Reach Dam along the Columbia River, the Discovery Center is operated by Chelan County Public Utility District and features interactive exhibits focused on hydroelectric power generation, dam operations, and environmental stewardship. The facility includes an underwater fish viewing area connected to the fish ladder, cultural and historical displays highlighting Indigenous and regional history, and a rooftop viewing deck overlooking the river and dam. Additional amenities such as guided tours, picnic areas, and a gift shop support public education and visitor engagement in a working hydropower environment.
