Founded in 1908, Washington Hall has long served as a performance and gathering space in Seattle’s Central District, welcoming generations of influential leaders, musicians, and artists. Lydig completed the final two phases of the Hall’s historic renovation, strengthening the building’s long-term resilience and accessibility while preserving its cultural character. Phase 3 focused on a full seismic upgrade, ADA and fire‑life‑safety improvements, new building systems, and the restoration of original plaster, wood finishes, and fire escapes, along with the installation of a new elevator. Phase 4 restored the historic windows and added a community recording studio, positioning Washington Hall to continue serving as a vibrant cultural and community resource.
