The Costco in Riverton, Utah is a new, 161,243 square-foot sales warehouse built on a 19-acre lot. The sitework included the construction of new sewer, storm, water, and electrical utilities. The parking lot for the new warehouse contains all new landscaping, including 829 parking stalls. The project also includes a new fuel station.
The sales warehouse consists of a main sales floor, optical department, pharmacy, hearing center, deli, bakery, meat department, food service area, offices, restrooms, and a tire center. The warehouse construction entailed new concrete footings and foundations, concrete slabs on grade, masonry walls, a pre-engineered steel building with envelope, interior metal stud framing with drywall, fire sprinkler system, new refrigeration system, and new mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems.
