Central Washington University Samuelson Hall

The Samuelson Building transformation modernized a legacy campus facility into a technology‑forward academic hub through strategic renovation and thoughtful new construction.
Located at the center of Central Washington University’s campus, the 107,000 SF Samuelson Building originally constructed between 1928 and 1967 was reimagined following its vacancy in 2006. The project combined renovation of the existing north wing with demolition and replacement of the south wing to create a modern academic facility for the departments of Computer Science, Information Technology and Administrative Management, Mathematics, and Sociology. The scope included hazardous materials abatement, selective demolition, reconstruction, and the integration of a new data center, along with contemporary structural systems, durable exterior materials, and comprehensive site improvements.
