The Wheelock Student Center project reimagined a historic campus hub, delivering expanded spaces for gathering, dining, and connection within an active university environment.
The University of Puget Sound’s Wheelock Student Center, originally built in 1959, underwent a renovation and 18,000 SF expansion to better support campus life and student services. The project enhanced dining, meeting, and office spaces, with a new wing adding a modern kitchen, dining area, and additional offices. Delivered through a private/negotiated delivery model, the multi‑phased work was completed on an active campus, requiring careful coordination to maintain full operations while renovating Commencement Hall and upgrading the building’s operational kitchen.
