Washington State University Veterinary Medical Research

The Veterinary Medical Research Building advances hands‑on teaching and biomedical research, delivering highly specialized spaces designed to support learning, discovery, and animal care.
Located within Washington State University’s Research and Education Complex on the Pullman campus, the Veterinary Medical Research Building (VMRB) supports the university’s health science teaching and research programs with state‑of‑the‑art biomedical research and lab support spaces. The facility includes a specialized vivarium providing modern animal holding, quarantine, and environmentally controlled environments essential to instruction and advanced research. Connected at each level to the adjacent Biotechnology/Life Sciences Building, the project required careful coordination to maintain security and building performance while integrating shared systems. Delivered using the GC/CM delivery model, construction methods and foundation design were tailored to minimize noise and vibration impacts on active teaching and research activities.
