The Wilson‑Pacific Schools project transformed a historic campus into a modern, shared learning environment with the construction of Cascadia Elementary School (92,000 SF) and Robert Eagle Staff Middle School (147,000 SF), which also includes the Licton Springs K‑8 American Indian Heritage program. Built simultaneously on a 17‑acre site, the new steel‑ and precast‑concrete schools serve approximately 1,600 students and were designed to encourage collaboration, daylight‑filled classrooms, and strong connections to outdoor learning spaces. The schools share a common athletic field that supports both school activities and community use.
A defining element of the project was the preservation and reinstallation of monumental Native American murals created by local artist Andrew Morrison (Apache/Haida). These massive concrete panels, some weighing nearly 65,000 pounds, were carefully removed from the original buildings prior to demolition and reinstalled on the new schools, honoring the site’s cultural history and legacy. The campus incorporates durable, high-performance materials and energy-efficient systems while celebrating its past through architecture, art, and continued educational programs rooted in Native American heritage.
